Understanding how the InfiniBrew’s Schedules and Max Drain Intervals work together is critical. Please complete all of the Infinibrew video modules, including “Setting Your Brew Schedule,” before reading further.
Terms:
Max Drain Interval: the longest amount of time you consider coffee fresh after brewing.
Schedule: your weekly desired combination of brew volumes and day parts.
Day parts: customizable intervals of time, where you observe higher demand in your business and therefore need larger brew volumes, or lower demand and smaller brew volumes.
Crossovers: the times you set a day part to begin, due to a desired change in brew volume.
The Max Drain Interval must be set in the Programming submenu, under “Setup,” otherwise your schedule will not function as intended. If you do not program an interval, the InfiniBrew will not drain old coffee and brew fresh coffee throughout the day.
How the system works:
By setting your max drain interval, you are telling the InfiniBrew how often to drain coffee inside of your day parts. The InfiniBrew will drain and rebrew automatically at these intervals, inside of your day parts, when the day parts are set to “drain.” It will also drain at day-part crossover, to ensure the new volume of desired coffee is entirely fresh.
If your day-parts are set to “keep” during crossovers, your Infinibrew will not drain coffee at ANY interval. It will not drain at your max drain interval within the day part, nor will it drain at day-part crossover. Your day-part schedule should only be set to “keep” if there is a day part when you are not worried about the freshness of the coffee.
Because the Max Drain Interval and the Keep/Drain settings interact, it is important to build a schedule intentionally. In the next section, we will review different real world examples that may be help you tailor the InfiniBrew to your business.
